Cinderella

Christmas
2012/13, for me was mental! I spent the holidays working on Cinderella
in Stoke-on-trent. The Johnny Wilkes come back (to Stoke) Panto.
I'll
hold my hands up and say it was brilliant, I loved it, the audience
loved it, (the audience loved Johnny mainly), but in their hundreds they
came, and it was exhilarating!

Everybody
worked really hard in the one week rehearsal, and 3 days of tech. And
with 24 Juveniles, 6 ensemble, 6 principals and 2 dames, in multiple
costumes, we had our work cut out.

Well I got to watch the following every night, and I think I really did have the best view.
Taming of the Shrew

This was a great piece of Theatre produced in Summer 2012. It was Taming Of the (Big Fat Gypsy) Shrew. The cast was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed being part of it.
The
design was Hannah Budd's baby, and because of my background I offered
to help with alterations and Wardrobe Supervising and general organising
once the show was up and running, as i was in full Panto swing as per.
I
mainly worked with the wedding dress get up, (seen below), it needed
dressing, altering and then maintenance whilst the show ran. But I also
worked most of the shows, dressing, ASM - ing, and whatever else that
needed doing backstage!

I also worked on the Female ensemble
costumes for Pantos on Strike 2012. It played at Manchester Opera House
and Regent Theatre Stoke.

This is the only photographic evidence I have, but the dresses were all circular skirt, disney meets sexy, (strictly adults only, obvs.)

I worked on making these bad boys for a Santa's Grotto a few years back. They are, in my opinion, a very successful Elf costume, so much so, I may have tried them on a good few times!
